The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
