Surely We created man of a clay of mud moulded, 26 and the jinn created We before of fire flaming. 27 And recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a man from ringing clay of loam moulded. 28 When I have shaped him, and breathed My spirit in him, fall you down, bowing before him!' 29 So, the angels - all of them - fell down in prostration, 30 Except Iblis (Satan); he refused to be among those who prostrated. 31 Said He, 'What ails thee, Iblis, that thou art not among those bowing?' 32 He replied: 'I will not prostrate to a mortal You have created of clay, from molded mud' 33 God said, "Then get out of here; for you are accursed, 34 Upon thee shall rest the curse, till the Day of Doom.' 35 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 36 He said: So surely you are of the respited ones 37 Till the Day of the Time known. 38 He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all: 39 Save such of them as are Thy perfectly devoted slaves. 40 (Allah) said: "This is the Way which will lead straight to Me." 41 “Indeed you do not have any power over My bondmen, except those wanderers who follow you.” (The devil is unsuccessful in tempting Allah’s chosen bondmen to commit sin.) 42 being perverse; Gehenna shall be their promised land all together. 43 Which has several gates, and each gate is marked for every section of them." 44
