Surely We brought man into being out of dry ringing clay which was wrought from black mud, 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 And (remember) when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potter's clay of black mud altered, 28 When I have completed shaping him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall you down before him in prostration." 29 So the angels fell prostrate, all of them together 30 except iblis (father of the jinn) who refused to be one of those who prostrated themselves. 31 He said: O Iblis! What aileth thee that thou art not among the prostrate? 32 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud." 33 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 34 and will be subjected to condemnation until the Day of Judgment." 35 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 36 He said, "You are granted respite 37 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 38 (satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all, 39 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 40 God said, "This is the path which leads straight to Me. 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 And surely Hell is the promised place of them all: 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
