Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 watching over you 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
