The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 Who guard their sex 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 these are the heirs 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
