I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 125 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 126 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 127 What, do you build on every prominence a sign, sporting, 128 “And prefer strong palaces, that perhaps you may live for ever?” 129 When you assault, you assault like tyrants. 130 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 131 "Yea, fear Him Who has bestowed on you freely all that ye know. 132 "Freely has He bestowed on you cattle and sons,- 133 And gardens and fountains; 134 Lo! I fear for you the retribution of an awful day. 135 They said: It is the same to us whether you admonish or are not one of the admonishers 136 "This is no other than the false-tales and religion of the ancients, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 19, Page 97] 137 We are not going to be damned." 138 So they belied him, and We destroyed them. Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 139 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 140
