T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
