The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
