3/4 Hizb 37
< random >
۞ And We revealed unto Musa saying: go by night with My bondmen verily ye shall be pursued. 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 (Saying): "These (Israelites) are but a small band, 54 And verily they have enraged us. 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 We deprived them (the unbelievers) of gardens, springs, 57 And treasures and a fair estate. 58 Even so. And We caused the Children of Isra'il to inherit them. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 When the two groups came close to each other, the companions of Moses said, "We will be caught". 61 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 Then brought We near the others to that place. 64 We delivered Moses and every one with him, 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And indeed your Lord only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
