Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 (O Prophet), do not grieve over them, nor be distressed at their designs. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 certainly it is guidance and a blessing for the believers. 77 Lo! thy Lord will judge between them of His wisdom, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 You cannot guide the straying blind ones. You can only make hear those who believe in Our revelations submissively. 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
