The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 and the scarers scaring 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 surely, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
