And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And left their remembrance for posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
