Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
