Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
God will bring to naught all the good deeds of those who are bent on denying the truth and bar [others] from the path of God. 1 But those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and believe in the (Revelation) sent down to Muhammad - for it is the Truth from their Lord,- He will remove from them their ills and improve their condition. 2 This, because they who are bent on denying the truth pursue falsehood, whereas they who have attained to faith pursue [but] the truth [that flows] from their Sustainer. In this way does God set forth unto man the parables of their true state. 3 So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of Allah - never will He waste their deeds. 4 God will lead them to everlasting happiness and improve their condition. 5 And bring them in unto the Garden which He hath made known to them. 6 Believers! If you succour God, He will succour you and make your footsteps firm. 7 And those who disbelieve, perdition is for them, and He will make their actions vain. 8 That is because they hate that which Allah has sent down (this Quran and Islamic laws, etc.), so He has made their deeds fruitless. 9 ۞ Have they never journeyed through the land and seen what was the end of those who had gone before them? Allah destroyed them! Likewise it is for the unbelievers, 10 That is because God is the protector of the believers, and those who deny the truth have no protector at all. 11
