The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
