Have you seen the one who turned away 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
