The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 And who glide with ease. 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
