Samood rejected the warning. 23 For they said: "What! a man! a Solitary one from among ourselves! shall we follow such a one? Truly should we then be straying in mind, and mad! 24 Has the [Divine] message been revealed to him alone of all of us? No, he is a boastful liar." 25 [And God said:] "On the morrow they will come to know who the boastful liar is! 26 Lo! We are sending the she-camel as a test for them; so watch them and have patience; 27 Tell them that each one of them has the right to have a certain share of water". 28 But they called their companion, so he took (the sword) and slew (her). 29 So how did My punishment turn out, and My warnings? 30 Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen. 31 And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to remember; but is there any that remembereth? 32 The nation of Lot belied Our warnings. 33 We sent down upon them a violent sandstorm (which destroyed them all) except for the family of Lot, whom We saved in the early morning by Our favor. 34 As grace from Us. Thus We reward him who giveth thanks. 35 For he had truly warned them of Our punishing might; but they stubbornly cast doubt on these warnings, 36 and even demanded that he give up his guests [to them]: whereupon We deprived them of their sight [and thus told them, as it were]: "Taste, then, the suffering which I inflict when My warnings are disregarded!" 37 And early in the morning the decreed punishment came upon them. 38 Taste then My torment and My warnings. 39 And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
