The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He created the human 3 He has taught him speech (and intelligence). 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
