▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
