28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ SAY: "I HAVE been informed that a number of jinns had listened; then said: 'We have heard the wondrous Qur'an, 1 'It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allah). 2 And that He-- exalted be the majesty of our Lord-- has not taken a consort, nor a son: 3 and that “the foolish among us have been wont to say outrageous things about Allah”; 4 We had in fact thought that men and jinns would never speak a lie about God, 5 "Certain human beings sought refuge with certain jinn and this increased the rebelliousness of those jinn. 6 and they thought, even as you also thought, that God would never raise up anyone. 7 ‘And we reached the sky, so we found it strongly guarded and filled with comets.’ 8 There, we would sit to eavesdrop, but now an eavesdropper finds a flame in wait for him. 9 And so we do not know whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Lord intends to guide them. 10 And some of us are the righteous, and some of us are otherwise; we are sects differing. 11 We realised that we could not weaken the power of God on earth, nor outpace Him by running away. 12 Hence, as soon as we heard this [call to His] guidance, we came to believe in it: and he who believes in his Sustainer need never have fear of loss or injustice. 13 And some of us have surrendered, and some of us have deviated. Those who have surrendered sought rectitude; 14 but as for those who abandon themselves to wrongdoing - they are indeed but fuel for [the fires of] hell!'" 15 If they (the idolaters) tread the right path, We shall give them to drink of water in abundance 16 "That We might try them by that (means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty. 17 And [He revealed] that the masjids are for Allah, so do not invoke with Allah anyone. 18 When the devotee of God stood up to invoke Him (the jinns) crowded upon him (to listen). 19

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
