Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 by the retreating night, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning for people -- 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 From the guilty. 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
