Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 But when sight is confounded 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
