The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And the close of night, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
