The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Has there not been over Man a long period of Time, when he was nothing - (not even) mentioned? 1 Lo! We create man from a drop of thickened fluid to test him; so We make him hearing, knowing. 2 We showed him the Way: whether he be grateful or ungrateful (rests on his will). 3 Indeed, for the unbelievers We have prepared chains, fetters and a Blazing (Fire). 4 But the righteous shall drink of a goblet mixed with camphor; 5 a spring from which God's servants will drink, making it gush forth in branches. 6 They fulfil their vows, and fear a day whose evil is upon the wing; 7 And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, 8 [saying, in their hearts,] "We feed you for the sake of God alone: we desire no recompense from you, nor thanks: 9 “Indeed we fear from our Lord a day which is extremely bitter, most severe.” 10 Therefor Allah hath warded off from them the evil of that day, and hath made them find brightness and joy; 11 and will reward them for their steadfastness with Paradise and robes of silk. 12 therein they shall recline upon couches, therein they shall see neither sun nor bitter cold; 13 And near above them are its shades, and its [fruit] to be picked will be lowered in compliance. 14 and passed around them shall be silver vessels, and crystal goblets, 15 goblets bright as crystal but made of silver, filled to exact measure. 16 And they will be given to drink a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of ginger 17 Which is a spring in Paradise called Salsabeel. 18 ۞ Immortal youths will go about them, when you see them, you would suppose them to be scattered pearls. 19 And when you look there [in Paradise], you will see pleasure and great dominion. 20 Upon them will be green Garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with Bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give to them to drink of a Wine Pure and Holy. 21 [And it will be said], "Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated." 22

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
