The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 And the second followeth it, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
