Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 watching over you 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
