Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the Dawn 1 And by oath of ten nights. 2 And [by] the even [number] and the odd 3 And by the night when it departeth, 4 Considering all this - could there be, to anyone endowed with reason, a [more] solemn evidence of the truth? 5 Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the 'Ad (people),- 6 With many-columned Iram, 7 the like of which has never been created in the land, 8 And how did He deal with Thamud who hewed out rocks in the valley? 9 And with Pharaoh, firm of might, 10 They were tyrants in the land 11 spreading in them much corruption? 12 Thus, your Lord afflicted them with torment; 13 Most surely your Lord is watching. 14 As for man, when his Lord tests him, through honour and blessings, he says, "My Lord has honoured me," 15 But when He tests him by restricting his provision, he says: 'My Lord has humiliated me' 16 By no means! But ye honour not the orphan, 17 And do not urge one another to feed the needy. 18 And you devour inheritance all with greed, 19 and you love wealth with an ardent love 20 No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed - 21 And when the command of your Lord comes - and the angels row by row, 22 and when Hell is brought near that Day. On that Day will man understand, but of what avail will that understanding be? 23 He will say: 'Would that I had forwarded (good works) for my life!' 24 So on that Day, none will punish as He will punish. 25 and Allah will bind as none other can bind. 26 O soul that art at rest! 27 return to your Lord, well-pleased, well-pleasing. 28 Enter thou among My bondmen! 29 And enter thou My Garden. 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
