The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 for he believes himself to be self-sufficient. 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 Did you consider: what if he gives the lie (to the Truth) and turns away (from it)? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
