The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

When earth is shaken with a mighty shaking 1 and earth brings forth her burdens, 2 and the human asks: "What is the matter with it?" 3 On that Day she will tell out the tidings thereof. 4 for your Lord has so directed it. 5 On that Day mankind will proceed in bands, that they may be shewn their works. 6 Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! 7 and whoso has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8
