Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
