The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
