Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
