In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
