The people of Nuh (Noah) belied the Messengers. 105 when Noah, their brother, said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 Hence, remain conscious of God, and pay heed unto me!" 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will, certainly, be stoned to death." 116 He said: 'My Lord, my nation have belied me. 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We saved him and those with him in a laden ship. 119 Then We drowned the rest (disbelievers) thereafter. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
