▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
