He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, 5 to him thou attendest 6 though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself -- 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 While he fears [Allah], 9 Of him wast thou unmindful. 10 No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; 11 So whoever wishes may remember it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 lofty and pure, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then the way He made easy. 20 Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave; 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Thereafter We cleave the earth in clefts, 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 And the olive and the palm, 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruit and grass - 31 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news; 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
