The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Allah's commandment has come, therefore do not desire to hasten it; glory be to Him, and highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). 1 He sends down this spirit (of prophecy) by His command through His angels on any of His servants whom He wills, (directing them): "Warn people that there is no deity but Me; so hold Me alone in fear." 2 He hath created the heavens and the earth with truth. High be He Exalted above all that they associate (with Him). 3 He hath created man from a drop, and Lo! he is a disputer open. 4 He has created cattle for you: from them you derive food and clothing and numerous other benefits; 5 And in them is your elegance, when you bring them home at evening, and when you leave them to graze. 6 And they transport your loads to a town where you could not reach except utterly exhausted; indeed your Lord is Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. 7 And (He made) horses and mules and asses that you might ride upon them and as an ornament; and He creates what you do not know. 8 Some paths lead away from God but one must follow the path that leads to God. Had God wanted, He could have guided (all to the right path). 9
