Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion. 36 And verily they hinder them from the way, whilst they deem that they are rightly guided. 37 Until when he cometh unto Us, he will say. Ah! would that there had been between me and thee, the distance of the east and the west an evil companion 38 And never will it benefit you that Day, when you have wronged, that you are [all] sharing in the punishment. 39 Can you make the deaf to hear, or show the blind, and those lost in clear error, the way? 40 And if We take thee away, We surely shall take vengeance on them, 41 Or show you some of what We have promised them. They are certainly well within Our power. 42 So hold fast to what has been revealed to you. Surely you are on the Straight Way. 43 And it is undoubtedly an honour for you and your people; and you will soon be questioned. 44 And ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before thee: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped beside the Beneficent? 45
