The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 that hide, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And the breath of morning 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
