But nay, I swear by all that you can see 38 And by whatsoever you see not, 39 That this is verily the word of an honoured Messenger [i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel) or Muhammad SAW which he has brought from Allah]. 40 not the speech of a poet. Little do you believe! 41 Nor is this the speech of a soothsayer. Little do you reflect! 42 It has been revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 43 Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us, 44 We surely had lain hold of him by the right hand. 45 and would indeed have cut his life-vein, 46 not one of you could have prevented it from him. 47 The Quran is certainly a reminder for the pious ones. 48 We certainly know that some among you do deny it. 49 it will be a source of bitter regret for those who deny the truth -- 50 And most surely it is the true certainty 51 So glorify the name of thy Tremendous Lord. 52
