Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),- 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 There will be no kindred relations nor any opportunity to ask about others or seek their assistance after the trumpet has sounded. 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray! 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 There was a group of my servants among you who always prayed: Lord, forgive us and grant us mercy; You are the best of those who show mercy. 109 but you made them a target of your derision to the point where it made you forget all remembrance of Me; and you went on and on laughing at them. 110 I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, and it is they who have triumphed." 111 And He will ask: 'How many years did you live on earth' 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
