Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 they shall burn in a Scorching Fire; 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 wherein thou wilt hear no empty talk. 11 In it there shall be a flowing spring, 12 raised couches, 13 and goblets placed ready, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And carpets spread out. 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
