We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
