Blest be He Who hath placed big stars in the heaven, and hath placed therein a lamp and a moon enlightening. 61 it is He who has made night and day succeed each other, a sign for those who would take heed and would be grateful. 62 And the bondmen of the Compassionate are those who walk upon the earth meekly and when the ignorants address them, they say peace 63 And they who pass the night prostrating themselves before their Lord and standing. 64 Who say: 'Our Lord, turn from us the punishment of Gehenna, for its punishment is the most terrible; 65 It is a terrible abode and an evil station," 66 and who, whenever they spend on others, are neither wasteful nor niggardly but [remember that] there is always a just mean between those [two extremes]; 67 who do not invoke any god but Allah nor kill a soul, which Allah has forbidden, unjustly, nor commit adultery. -He who does this shall be punished for his sin, 68 Whose punishment will be doubled on the Day of Judgement, and he will live for ever in disgrace, 69 save him who repents, and believes, and does righteous work -- those, God will change their evil deeds into good deeds, for God is ever All-forgiving, All-compassionate; 70 And whoever repents and does good has truly turned to Allah with an (acceptable) conversion;- 71 And they who do not bear witness to what is false, and when they pass by what is vain, they pass by nobly. 72 And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind. 73 Those who say: 'Lord give us of our wives and children what pleases our eyes and make us leaders to the fearful' 74 They will be rewarded the highest position in heaven, the recompense of their patience, and they will be welcomed with honour and greetings of peace. 75 They shall abide in it forever; what an excellent abode and place of stay. 76 SAY [unto those who believe]: "No weight or value would my Sustainer attach to you were it not for your faith [in Him]!" And say unto those who deny [the truth:] "You have indeed given the lie [to God's message,] and in time this [sin] will cleave unto you!" 77
