The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ About what are they asking one another? 1 About the great news - 2 that they are in utter disagreement? 3 Nay! they shall soon come to know 4 again, no indeed; soon will they come to know. 5 Have We not made the earth as a cradle 6 And the mountains as stakes? 7 And We have created you in pairs. 8 and gave you repose in sleep, 9 and made the night a covering, 10 and made the day to seek livelihood, 11 And constructed above you seven strong [heavens] 12 and placed therein a hot, shining lamp, 13 and have sent down from the clouds, pouring rain 14 That We may produce from it grain and vegetation, 15 And gardens of thick growth. 16 The Day of Judgment will certainly be the final appointment. 17 the day the Trumpet is blown, and you shall come in troops, 18 And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates, 19 and the mountains move, and vaporize. 20 Truly Hell is as a place of ambush, 21 It will be a place of return 22 where they shall remain for ages, 23 tasting therein neither coolness nor any drink 24 save boiling water and a stinking fluid -- 25 , A fitting reward. 26 Indeed they had no fear of the account. 27 And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial. 28 but We have recorded everything in a Book. 29 So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
