Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised. 93 “Therefore my Lord, do not group me with the unjust.” 94 And verily We are Able to show thee that which We have promised them. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 And the ones whose scales prove light – it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, and it is they who have triumphed." 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
