The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 there is no denying its coming 2 (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down: 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 You will become three categories: 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,- 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 And a shade ever-spread. 30 and gushing water, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 And raised couches; 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 And made them virgins, 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 for those on the Right, 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
