Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people." 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And pray: "My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the suggestions of the evil ones; 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 whereas they whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves, [destined] to abide in hell: 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They shall say, 'Our Lord, our adversity prevailed over us; we were an erring people. 106 Our Lord! Take us out of this. Then if we revert (to evil-doing) we shall indeed be wrongdoers." 107 [But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me! 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew. 114 Did you think that We had created you only for play, and that you would never be returned to Us' 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
