Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 Scorched by burning fire, 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 They will be in a lofty Garden 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 therein uplifted couches 13 And chosen goblets. 14 and cushions arrayed in rows, 15 and carpets outspread. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 But whoever turns back and denies the truth, 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 To Us is surely their returning; 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26
